WIZnet W5500
Dedicated Ethernet controller communicating with the miner over SPI.
Model selection
JP2 and JP3 jumpers select the configuration for your Nerd board.
NERDETH rev1.1
The version shown in these photos. The announced V2 BAP port for Bitaxe belongs to a separate future version.
Select. Connect. Configure.
1. Match the board configuration
Switch off and disconnect your miner before fitting NerdHat. Check your model and hardware revision, then set JP2 and JP3 according to the board markings and the supported firmware configuration.
2. Install the matching firmware
Use a NerdHat-compatible Ethernet build for your exact miner model. The correct pin mapping matters; generic W5500 firmware is not interchangeable across every Nerd board.
3. Connect your network
Connect an Ethernet cable between the RJ45 port and your router or network switch. Complete your mining pool and wallet settings through your miner’s web interface.
Before installation: check the firmware integration notes for your miner revision. Ethernet cable and miner are required for use.
