NerdOctaxe rev3.1 ~12TH/s

Description

The NerdOctaxe is a fully open-source Bitcoin ASIC miner built with 8× BM1370 chips from the Antminer S21 Pro. It delivers up to 12 TH/s with an efficiency of around 15.8 W/TH, powered by a standard 12 V / 20 A supply.

The NerdOctaxe runs a dedicated fork of ESP-Miner, the same firmware foundation used in the NerdQaxe++ and NerdAxe, adapted to work with the LilyGo T-Display S3 screen for a more interactive and user-friendly interface.
On top of this, it integrates AxeOS, providing a clean, intuitive web dashboard for configuration, pool management, and full monitoring of your miner.

The design is fully open-source and rooted in the Bitaxe Project, originally created by @Pual91 and further refined and extended by @BitMaker_ at Bitronics.

🔧 Revision 3.1 – Hardware Improvements

Thanks to the new power delivery design, Rev 3.1 now reaches up to 12 TH/s while maintaining safe and stable thermal performance during continuous operation.

Key improvements include:

• 6-Phase VRM (previously 4 phases) for lower per-phase current and better heat distribution.

• New voltage controller: TPS53667, enabling full 6-phase operation with improved stability at higher frequencies.

• Enhanced power distribution and PCB layout, including stronger 12 V routing, improved decoupling, and cleaner ground structure.

• Better thermal behavior, allowing sustained high-performance operation without throttling.

• Updated components, to reduce BOM different partlists and structure.
